You have something real. The question is how to build a livelihood around it. These sessions are for creatives moving from making to market, from passion to practice, who need someone in their corner who has done the work of figuring it out.

Pricing, positioning, outreach, offers, and the fear underneath all three.

Why I can do this

I have been building creative businesses for more than a decade. I founded Chaperone Records, an independent music label. I opened The Red Herring Lounge, a live-music venue that ran for five years. I built Hostel du Nord, Duluth's first modern hostel, and Annex du Nord, an alcohol-free performance and arts venue.

None of it was a straight line. I know what it is to build something real from nothing, to run out of runway, to pivot, and to keep going anyway. That is what I bring to these sessions: not theory, but the specific knowledge that comes from having done it.

    I have self-published fourteen books of poetry over the last five years. In these sessions I walk you through your own, start to finish: manuscript, formatting, cover, print and ebook, distribution, and pricing. The whole path, from someone who has walked it fourteen times.
